Mr. Moore serves as Vice President of Commercial and Asset Operations with responsibility for market operations and power supply activities, ensuring that initiatives and operations are aligned with the strategic direction provided by the Golden Spread Board of Directors. Mr. Moore joined Golden Spread in 2009 as Manager, Market Operations. Most recently, he has been Director, Market Operations with responsibility for optimization functions of the cooperative’s commercial operations portfolio in the Southwest Power Pool and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas. In addition, his responsibilities included long-term load forecasting and resource planning, market modeling as it relates to Golden Spread’s margins and cost to serve native load as well as market and commercial invoicing activity. Also, he has been heavily engaged in market design policy strategies related to each market. Mr. Moore has been with the organization during generation and commercial power market expansion in two markets. Mr. Moore has worked across the organization and has been heavily involved in the development of risk management policies, compliance guides, member service products, strategy initiatives and numerous regulatory filings. Prior to joining Golden Spread, Mr. Moore worked for an investor owned utility and a merchant generation company and has over 23 years in the energy industry. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas A&M University.
